Board of Directors Changes

We would like to announce that in the last week there have been a few changes in the BOD. Recently Patrick "Cal" Callaby presented his resignation from the board due to work load issues. Cal is the equipment manager at the Celtic Manor Resort in Wales and will be hosting the Ryder Cup in 2010. I think we all experience the challenges of work quite often and we certainly respect his decision. Cal has been and will continue to be a dedicated individual to his work, family and the IGCEMA. He has lead our success in Europe and continues to help bring more individuals into our organization. Cal is a leader and mentor to many in Europe and that certainly holds true on our behalf. We appreciate all of Cal's hard work and look forward to hopefully having him back in the years to come. Thanks Cal for your support of IGCEMA and for your leadership in making us what we have become in such a short time.

With all depressing news there has to come positive news. I have decided to ask John Patterson to step in the open BOD seat and the board has since approved that request. John has accepted the position and will begin as of today July 6, 2007. I would like to welcome John to the board and I look forward to working with him as we continue moving forward with IGCEMA.

Congratulations to John Patterson on being appointed to the BOD of the IGCEMA. What a great choice for Cal’s replacement. John has done a fantastic job as chair for the bylaws committee, and serves endlessly to make this a better industry. Thanks John for your time, I know you have a lot going on too. Cal has also done a remarkable job serving the association and, I personally can related to the pressures and time commitment to the job and family. Thanks Cal for all you have done.
