The IGCEMA is proud to announce that today we are releasing our final study guide for the IGCEMA Certificate Program entitled " Cutting Unit Technology and Operation". This study guide gives a comprehensive overview of both reel and rotary mower set-up, grinding and theory according to equipment and grinder manufacturers. The study guide consists of 195 pages of material to guide equipment technicians on the proper set-up, adjustment, and understanding of reel and rotary mowers.

The release of this study guide completes the 6 competencies for the certificate program:
Hydraulic Systems and Troubleshooting - IGC02
Electrical Systems and Troubleshooting - IGC03
Internal Combustion Engines - IGC04
Drivelines- IGC05
Sprayer Systems, Calibration and Troubleshooting - IGC06
Cutting Unit Theory and Operation - IGC07
Following completion of the exam in the next 2 weeks we will begin focusing on updates of our existing study guides which will begin with Internal Combustion Engines and the inclusion of Tier IV. We expect this addition to be out by the beginning of January 2013.
The IGCEMA would like to thank the equipment manufacturers: Bernhard and Company, Foley United, Jacobsen, John Deere, S.I.P and Toro for their collaboration on this project. We would also like to thank all the proctors, members, associations, media publications and numerous other companies and colleagues around the world that have helped us continue our motto of "educating technicians for the future". Without all of your support the IGCEMA and it's programs would not be possible.
